Eligibility
What you need to meet.
You must intend to have medical treatment or a consultation, donate an organ, receive an organ from someone travelling with you, or support a patient or organ donor who holds this visa.
In most cases you must pre-arrange payment of your medical costs, with written proof from a public or private hospital, so there is no cost to an Australian government or public authority.
You must not have a medical condition that could be a threat to public health or endanger the Australian community.
You must have adequate means to support yourself while in Australia.
You must not hold a 403 visa granted in the Domestic Worker (Diplomatic or Consular) stream.
You can be any age to apply.
You must only intend to stay temporarily in Australia and do the things this visa allows.
You must meet the health and character requirements, and have repaid (or arranged to repay) any debts to the Australian Government. Permanent and provisional visa applicants, and family members applying with them, must have health examinations with an approved panel physician. Temporary visa applicants might need them, depending on the visa and their circumstances. For the character requirement, Home Affairs may ask for police certificates and Form 80.
