About the Business Innovation and Investment Visa (Subclass 888)
The Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888) lets you continue your business, investment or entrepreneurial activity and live in Australia permanently. It is the permanent stage for people who hold a 188 visa.
Although the 188 program closed to new applicants on 31 July 2024, current 188 holders can still apply for the 888 once they meet the requirements of their stream. The Business Innovation stream is also open to some Special Category (444) and Business (Long Stay) 457 holders.
