Subclass 202 · Proposed from Australia
Global Special Humanitarian Visa (Subclass 202)
Move to Australia if you face substantial discrimination or human rights abuses and have a proposer in Australia, or to join an immediate family member. Applied for outside Australia.
About the Global Special Humanitarian Visa (Subclass 202)
The Global Special Humanitarian visa (subclass 202) lets people who face substantial discrimination or human rights abuses in their home country move to Australia permanently, if they are proposed by a person or organisation in Australia. It can also let people join an immediate family member who holds a humanitarian visa.
From 1 July 2025, both the proposal and the visa application are made in ImmiAccount. The proposer completes the proposal first, and the applicant uses its reference number within 60 days.
Based on Department of Home Affairs information (October 2026). Costs shown are the starting visa application charge for the main applicant. Always confirm current details on the Department of Home Affairs website or ask our team. This page is general information, not migration advice.
